Brethren,

The next Stated Meeting of Madison Lodge will be held on Monday April 23, 2012.  Bro. Hall will be preparing a meal for the brethren at 6:30 pm and the meeting will open promptly at 7:30 pm.

I am pleased to announce that MSgt William Lisse, Ret. will be our guest speaker at that meeting; He will presenting a talk on "Defense Counterintelligence Contributions which Ended the Cold War"

December 2011 was the 20th Anniversary of the end of the Cold War. The Cold War Era was marked by a totalitarian suppression of the rights of mankind. The forces of freedom rose to the challenge and helped liberate much of the world. In December of 1991, as the world watched in amazement, the Soviet Union disintegrated into fifteen separate countries. Its collapse was hailed by the west as a victory for freedom, a triumph of democracy over totalitarianism.

MSgt. Lisse is a retired Special Agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI) who served on active duty in the USAF from 1979 through 1999, including an assignment in Germany during the fall of the Berlin Wall and the German Reunification.
